I am so excited about the discovery of SMart History! This is a site, comprised mainly of a blog, managed by two art historians, Beth Harris and Steven Zucker, utilizing Web 2.0 technologies to support teaching art history…hoooray! The blog includes many fine examples of simple enhanced podcasts that include a dialogue between the two about specific works of art. Their discussions are intruguing, concise and stimulate critical thinking about the art work’s form and content. You can bet I’ll be referring my students to their content as well as modeling their best practice. What a fantastic learning tool!

  1. Michelle, thanks so much for your kind words about our blog and podcasts. We’re so pleased to hear it will be helpful for your students. What is your area in art history? What do you teach?
