Have you heard of the Jing Project? It’s an online tool designed by Tech Smith (creators of Camtasia and SnagIt) that allows users to create screencasts that generate a url that is automatically pasted to the user’s clipboard. The screencasts are hosted on screencast.com but uploading options for Flickr, FTP and files are also available in the Preferences area. Check out this video tutorial I made to orient my online students to the design of my online Art Appreciation class.

One Comment to “Jing for Video Instruction”

  1. Hey Michelle,
No word yet from Educause — but I am doing the image thing at the NMC summer conference.

You may be interested in a screencapture tool called “uTIPu” if you like Jing — better interface, and totally free.

Also, you may be interested in another blog by some art historians using technology —
